About Me

Hi, thanks for visiting my blog! My name's Zoe and this blog is all about my explorations into sewing and refashioning. These passions form a big part of my desire to live a more sustainable and authentic life. I also aim to inspire and assist others in making/remaking their own clothing.

I'm the creator of the popular online challenges called Me-Made-May which ask sewers/knitters/crocheters/refashioners to wear hand-created clothing every day for a month. The aim is to encourage people to bring the DIY and handmade ethos into their everyday lives, and to develop a better relationship with your handmade wardrobe. The next challenge will be Me-Made-May '16, sign-ups begin on 1st April 2016!!!

Currently, I live in Hastings on the South Coast of the UK with my husband and our daughter Dolores. I am a self-employed sewing teacher, and can be found teaching classes at The Village Haberdashery, West Hampsted, London and Tilly and the Buttons's HQ, London. I also organise an annual contemporary craft and handmade market called Brighton Craftaganza.

You can contact me at: sozoblog (at) gmail (dot) com. I'm always open to collaborations and ideas related to sewing, refashioning and sustainability.

I find you blog so thought provoking. I hope that you don't mind, I've nominated you for a The One Lovely Blog Award / The Very Inspiring Blogger Award.
I can't find out where the idea originated but it seems a lovely way of thanking the creators of the blogs that I find the most enjoyable and inspiring.
Thanks! My post about the award(s) is here
