Hi, thanks for visiting my blog! My name's Zoe and this blog is all about my explorations into sewing and refashioning. These activities (read: obsessions) form a big part of my desire to live a more sustainable and authentic life. I also aim to inspire and assist others in making/remaking their own clothing so I regularly posts tips, tricks, tutorials, how-to's and ideas as well as documenting my own creations.
I'm the creator of the popular online me-made/self-stitched challenges which ask sewers/knitters/crocheters/refashioners to wear hand-created clothing every day for a month. The aim is to encourage people to bring the DIY and handmade ethos into their everyday lives, and the most recent of these challenges is Me-Made-May '12. Next challenge will be Me-Made-May '13, so watch out!!!
Currently I live in Brighton, UK, and am self-employed. My activities include organising a regular contemporary craft and handmade markets called Brighton Craftaganza. I also teach sewing and pattern cutting classes at Super+Super HQ in Brighton and at Sew Over It, North Clapham in London.
You can contact me at: sozoblog (at) gmail (dot) com. I'm always open to collaborations and ideas related to sewing, refashioning and sustainability.
